Good morning!

I had the opportunity again to make a card for troops and this is going to a Marine son of a Design Team friend.  We were instructed to NOT put anything glittery on it, as the glitter can shed off onto the soldiers clothes.... even one speck of glitter can make them "visible" to enemies by the sun or other lights reflecting off the glitter.  Wow, I hadn't thought of that before! 

So, I made sure to put nothing glittery on this one.

Also, I tried to keep it as flat as possible, so I didn't use any brads, buttons or ribbon. Wow. that was hard!  But tucked away in a little plastic basket drawer on my shelf, I managed to find this little 2x2 Provocraft Cuttlebug die with snowflakes on it and tucked inbetween the snowflakes were these little stars in nesting sizes... how perfect!  I cut them in red, blue and cream and layered them to make star embellishments.  I used the SU 2-way liquid glue pen to hold the stars together.

• CS/PAPER: 90 lb. Canson watercolor paper, CDS deep sea, red, CDS  toasted almond, Best occasions Walmart Dp pack (star paper)
• INK: printer, caramel inkpad, real red marker, marina mist marker, Tombow markers 947, 899, 942, 528, 946, 991
• ACCENTS/TOOLS: waterbrush, sponge, spellbinders labels 4 and ovals, clear lacquer, cuttlebug mini snowflake/star die, sewing machine

A gift sheep!

Hello and it's the WEEEKEND! Yay! 

Today I wanted to show you the details on the Holiday Sheep card I made.

I printed on watercolor paper and watercolored with Tombow  markers and a waterbrush.  After the scarf and gift box base coloring was dry, I drew and added the designs on them with the same color marker and white gel pen.

This card is a 3.25" x 6.25" size.  It's one of my favorite card sizes!

• CS/PAPER: 90 lb. Canson watercolor paper, CDS strawberry jam, best occasions walmart pastel pearlescent CS, basic grey eskimo kisses DP
• INK: printer, Tombow markers 676, 942, 491, 850, 772, 098, 8847, 837, white gel pen
• ACCENTS/TOOLS: waterbrush, Su oval punches, cuttlebug provocraft mini snowflake die, gems, CDS strawberry jam satin, glue dots, pop dots
• COLORING: watercolor with Tombow marker and waterbrush
