Today is Digital release day for Clear Dollar Stamps! There are 5 mini digital sets and I got to sample 4 of them. You can visit Lori's blog to see the full image sheets and some fun slide shows!
The first 2 sets are revived old CDS Stamp of the month's, the adorable little raccoons from A LONG time ago and the bunny and frog from critter log last December.
HOPPY LOG - this is the one I didn't get to do this time, but check out Lori's blog for inspiration! It is the Critter Log Dec 2009 SOM revived! So, if you missed getting that as a SOM, you can getat lest some of it as digital!

RACCOON FRIENDS
This cute set has a raccoon on a log waving, a couple raccoons hiding in a flower patch and then a couple balloons that (as a PNG file) can be placed over the raccoons hand. I accidentally goofed and didn't get the balloon strings right inside his hand and then didn't notice it before I printed--so the strings are tied around his wrists, ha!
I watercolored the image with Tombow markers and waterbrush. The rest on this card was pretty basic. The base is a piece of Fancy pants DP.

SWIMMING MALLARD
A very simple duck swimming is all that is needed for a man's card.
The photo tint sort of makes the grosgrain appear black, but it is really hunter green. I watercolored the image with a waterbrush and Tombow markers. To get the crooked sewing around the edges, I decreased the stitch length to 1, and then quickly jolted the paper back and forth with short movements as my foot was on the sewing pedal. And the more I look at it, the more I kind of like this jagged sewing look better than the wavy sewn edges.
MATERIALS:
- IMAGE: Swimming mallard Digital image by CDS
- CS/PAPER: watercolor 90 lb Canson, hunter, bamboo, chocolate, K&Co Classic Bailey DP
- INK: Sage shadow and bashful blue for sponging, Tombow markers 899, 947, 942, 249, 312, 526
- ACCENTS/TOOLS: spellbinders deckled rectangles, waterbrush, sewing machine, hunter Su grosgrain, Basic grey pearls, glue dots, foam pop dots
- COLORING: watercoloring on watercolor paper
