This week, I was asked to host the AIFactory Challenge #27, thanks Mia!
The AIF027 challenge
is to create something that 1. has a clear component on it, and also 2. has somewhat simple accenting so that your focus is on the center image. DP or PP are allowed, as well as all kinds of embellishments, but make sure whatever your main is, is the stand out focal image and the first thiing you see.
Some examples of clear components are clear micro beads, buttons, dew drops/skittles/baubles, clear embossing powder, clear acetate cardstock, just to name a few.
The AIF DT created projects using the new Lily Collection Digital stamp set HERE, and one challenge participant will be selected to receive that digital set! Here is the Digital set that is the prize:
You can check out all the details HERE, as well as the AIF DT links to their projects.
Below are the projects I created using the digital images in the Lily Collection:
Calla Lily clear acetaate cardstock card
My clear component on the Calla Lily cardd is the clear acetate cardstock base. I used the embossing folder on the lower half, and watercolored the flowers with Tombow markers. I also used the ultra fine Flower soft on the center stems of the flowers to make them a little fuzzy.
CALLA LILY CARD RECIPE:
- Digital image: Lily Collection by Clearly Delightful, or from my blog page HERE
- CS/PAPERS: clear cardstock, watercolor, amethyst, kiwi, white
- INK: Tombow markers 623, 990, 020, 098
- ACCENTS/TOOLS: Spellbinders nestabilities, watebrush, ultra fine flower soft and glue, embossing folder, sewing machine, sticky strip, sheer ribbon from walmart, dew drop

LILY of the VALLEY card
My clear component on this card is the clear lacquer used to resemble dew on the flowers and leaves. While this card has layers, I feel it is still simple enough and the focus is the image in the center.
I love doing these circle cards!
LILY of the VALLEY CARD RECIPE:
- Digital image: Lily Collection by Clearly Delightful, or from my blog page HERE
- CS/PAPERS: watercolor, banana, aqua mist, white, Basic grey wisteria DP
- INK: Tombow markers 243, 020, 990
- ACCENTS/TOOLS: Spellbinders nestabilities, waterbrush, crystal brad, SU white ribbon, clear lacquer, sewing machine, foam pop dots

EASTER / RUBRUM LILY card
This image is closely resembling the Rubrum lilies as well as the easter lilies, so I think it can be sued for either, depending on your coloring mood.
My clear component on this card is the clear round button. Used Tombow markers for coloring again.
EASTER/RUBRUM LILY CARD RECIPE:
- Digital image: Lily collection by Clearly Delightful, or from my blog page HERE
- CS/PAPERS: watercolor, marigold, moss, orange zest, My minds Eye DP
- INK: Tombow markers 491, 228, 985, 933, 837
- ACCENTS/TOOLS: spellbinders nestabiilities, sewing machine, waterbrush, CTMH bitty brads, twine, clear button, moss ribbon from walmart, pop dots, glue dots

MARIPOSA LILY card
My clear component on this is the micro beads panel. I just love the look that the micro beads over the entire panel gives a pretty image, almost like mosaic or stained glass window. I don't do it very often, but when I do I always love the results. AND the benefit of using these beads in this way is that it can cover slight mess-ups in your coloring details, and no one would ever notice. :o)
MARIPOSA LILY CARD RECIPE:
- Digital image: Lily collection by Clearly Delightful, or from my blog page HERE
- CS/PAPERS: watercolor, white, pink, rose, ocean tides
- INK: pigment white, TOmbow markers 772, 837, 249, 312
- ACCENTS/TOOLS: spellbinders nestabilities, sewing machine, waterbrush, pop dots, glue dots, pink wide satin by the yard from local store, micro beads, sticky paper, embossing folder, sponge, distressing edge tool

I was hopping along Laurie...and was just blown away by your microbeads creation...I had completely forgotten about this technique. You totally inspired me and I'm going to try it again.
Beautiful coloring throughout this post!

I love these cards! Especially the clear card and the Lily of the Valley card. They're my favorites. :) The colors on the Rubrum Lily card are gorgeous, and I like the clear bead technique on the tulip card, too!
