Hello, it's Monday again!
First, don't forget to check out my monthly challenge HERE.
My card is a 5.25" square card and it uses a color of CS that I never thought I would actually choose to use... glorious green! Amazingly, that was the closest green color to the My Minds Eye papers I wanted to use. I was quite shocked... I think I tried every other green CS I had first just because I didn't really want it to match the Glorious Green, LOL! I suppose in moderation, glorious green isn't so bad.
In the photo below, after I adjusted the white balance, the green CS, Tombow color 245, and my minds eye DP appear not to match much, but in person they actually are pretty close.
First, I wanted to show how I did the pillow.
1. Above, I used the pencil tip of the Tombow marker that I knew was going to be the color of the pillow, and drew the flower shapes where I wanted them.
2. Above, I now used the brush tip of the Tombow marker and applied color around the edges (just as I would if I was just going to fill in color to an area), and also around some of the flowers, being sure not to touch the inside of the petals.
3. Above, I blend the green color using a waterbrush, the smallest waterbrush tip I can find, and I make sure not to allow the water to seep into the petal areas.
4. Above, I finish it by using the pencil tip of the orange Tombow to make the centers of the flowers. To top it off, I used a white gel pen to color in each of the petals.
For the blanket, I just used the markers to draw the lines and didn't blend any of it.

Precious card. Your pillow and blanket are amazing. I thought for sure you had paper pieced the blanket and pillow until I scrolled down to see your tutorial. What amazing work, Laurie! Talk about best of the best!
