Day 3 for previews and then there is only one more day left of "all this posting"!
A little explanation, there was just an unsubscriber and the reason they picked was "too many updates". LOL, sneak preview time is the ONLY time I post 4 days in a row, and that is only once a month. Interesting! Time to turn off email notifications!
Anyway today I am showing you 2 sets that will release on April 1 at www.cdstamps.com, SUNFLOWER SONGS and then the APRIL SOM which is the set you get for free when you spend the required amount.
SUNFLOWER SONGS
I did 2 samples for this one, bot are similar in colors, one is using the outline images with the solid ones, and the other is just using the solid images.
You can see the full stamp sheet on Lori's blog, as well as Candy's sample.
Other Design Team who created with this set
My first card
This is just a lot of good 'ol fashioned stamping and the rock 'n roll technique to get the variation in shading on the solid images.
The scallop die is from the Provocraft (cuttlebug) die set of 4 small flower shapes, and the hatpin is from the CDStamps store.
SUPPLIES:
- ALL CDSTAMPS STAMPS USED: Sunflower songs
- CS and PAPERS: white, mustard, wild wasabi
- INK: summer sun, more mustard, garden green, certainly celery, creamy caramel, chocolate chip
- ACCESS. and EMBELLISHMENTS: dew drops, hat pin from www.cdstamps.com, cheap kids beads from Michaels $1 bin from a long time ago, Provocraft flower die, circle punches, ticket corner punch, sponges, PTI twill ribbon
- TECHNIQUES: rock 'n roll on circular flower stamps
Second card is a little more simple.
I think it's easier to stamp the outline images first, and then using the solid "filler" images second. If you are using a pigment ink for the outlines though, you'll need to wait until it completely dries before stamping the solid images over it.
SUPPLIES:
- ALL CDSTAMPS STAMPS USED: Sunflower songs
- CS and PAPERS: white, mustard, wild wasabi, so saffron
- INK: Brilliance black, summer sun, more mustard, garden green, certainly celery, creamy caramel, chocolate chip
- ACCESS. and EMBELLISHMENTS: Nestabilities die, corner rounder punch, PTI twill and dot ribbon and button, sewing machine, sticky pearls, thread, mini glue dot
APRIL SOM (stamp of the month) Silhouette wishes
With a qualifying purchase over at CDStamps, you get this set for free! You can't buy this set, and it will only be available during the month of April! You can see the full stamp sheet on Lori's blog.
The other Design team who created previews with this set
Yellow isn't a color I like to use, but I've noticed I have been grabbing for it quite a bit lately.
This card actually also works for the CDS weekend color challenge.
I stamped the branch, sentiment and flowers using Versamark ink on barely banana CS and heat embossed white detail embossing powder. Then I resisted the images using a sponge and 2 shades of yellow, more mustard for the inner portions (to make them darker) and so saffron to blend the yellow out a bit. Also sponged around the edge of the main panel.
The background is stamped in so saffon on barely banana CS, and I used the white gel pen to dot the center of each flower.
I cut a slit using a craft knife in the main panel for the ribbon to pass through and go underneath the upper portion of the panel.
The SU ribbon, sewing and little sticky pearls finish it off!

Gorgeous-- I just ordered a Pretties kit from SU to get some of those pins like that-- Love the look! (And I've gotten the "Too many updates" unsubscribe several times too--- I think you can go in and change the time frame for how often emails go out--- so if you want, you can just send an email once a week vs. daily with each update! Of course, when I've made changes, I get people wondering what happened and where I went too! :)

Hi Lauie! What a beautifully feminine and serene card...and look! You're using my favorite color, AGAIN! I'm proud of you! LOL
This card is so creative with the white leaves stamped and the pretty pearls, and that white ribbon is perfect, too!
And look at those precious, sweet sunflower cards from "Sunflower Songs"!! I love, love, love them both! The colors are so rich and deep and I especially like the one with the beaded hat pin...Gorgeous!
