I was invited by Kim Teasdale to be the Guest Designer for today's Sketch Challenge over at the OCC! Wow, what an honor, and I must say that I was very nervous making this card!
I hope it is at least a little inspiring for all the sketch players! Wanna play? Just follow the sketch and then add your link at the bottom of the OCC post for today, and include a link directly to your post.
For the horizontal panel with the dew drops on it, I randomly sponged baja breeze ink over a free-hand cut cloud template. I also sponged clouds on the oval background.
I used my Su markers on the branches stamps to make the branches brown and the leaves green.
To get my Swiss Dots folder dots to be white, I used a white gel pen and colored each raised dot on that panel.
Stamped the birds using Rock 'n roll technique and carefully cut them out. I added crystal lacquer over them after the card was completely assembled, and allowed that to dry completely before handling.
The cute little metal hinge and key charm both can be found at the Clear Dollar Stamps store. There are silver hinges too. I used CTMH bitty brads to secure the hinge on... You cannot use regular size brads on these bitty hinges, they are too big. You must either use CTMH bitty brads, or Queen & Co ultra mini brads, OR Clear Dollar Stamps will be coming out with some brads this size in April!
Here are some other photos of my card.

Oh this is just gorgeous!!! I love this sketch and the colors you used... soooo pretty!
I especially want to thank you for telling us what brads fit those hinges! I bought some from CDS but I can't use them because I don't have any teeniny brads... so now I know where to go or just wait for a future CDS order! :)
