Featured project - PCP CDS Weekend color challenge 1/2/09

I was the host for Fridays CDS Weekend Color Challenge over at the PCP CDS weekend color challenge GROUP. Today I am featuring one entry from the 4 that were posted.

**(By the way, I won't be posting on my blog again until Next week AFTER Jan 11, unless I spontaneously participate in an SCS challenge)**

THE COLORS:

• Rose red (dark fuchsia-ish red)
• Baja Breeze (light-medium teal)
• Certainly Celery (light green-ish yellow)
• Optional: More mustard (warm dusty dark yellow)
• Neutral: vanilla or cream

I guess the colors were pretty hard, so sorry about that!   I suppose I didn't find them that hard since I had some designer paper with those colors in in already.

This coming Friday, Alexandra will be your host, perhaps she'll pick some easier colors!

Out of all the entries that were posted HERE, I decided to feature Diane Nobles card. 

ALL the cards were fabulous, by the way!  Alysabeth's monkey card is so cute and tropical, Katie's card has the adorable little SOM raccoon from last fall holding up a present cut out from her DP, and Linda's floral branches with her stamped background and big prima flowers has so much flair!

The first thing about Diane's card that struck me was that she used a winter set!  Wow, great job incorporating these colors into a winter card!  How creative to use the sentiment "missing you" with the stamped images of those snowmen missing their not-yet-built friend.  Also, I just loved the two little knots that she tied on either side of the sentiment panel.

Thanks again to everyone who participated!  I'll host again next month, the first Friday in February, and I promise to make the colors easier next time!

Awww...thanks Laurie for featuring my card! I just love that little snowman set! Someone asked about the sets used on the card. Stamp sets used: Snowman Wishes, Timeless Labels and Wistful Wishes.
