Clearly Delightful

1 Stamp, 2 birds

Good morning!  I have had one hectic and busy weekend, so no time for pposts for me, but I will catch up on all that this week. :o)  I finally finished a Flourishes card that I will post tomorrow, and then Thursday is my weekly KLM Digital Designs post.

But today I used some of my very neglected SU stamps.  I needed some thank you cards and this cute bird is easy, and you can make so many different birds by just using different colors!

I made one a yellow warbler and the other a blue bird.

I didn't manage to get a close-up shot before I sent these off to people, sorry about that!

Both are 4.25" square cards.

RECIPE yellow warbler:

• STAMPS: Stampin Up Spring Song, PTI Mixed messages
• CS/PAPER: BG two scoops DP, watercolor, cocoa, mustard, white
• INK: brilliance black, mustard, saffron, green, cocoa, not quite navy
• ACCENTS/TOOLS: grosgrain ribbon, sewing machine, waterbrush, nestabilities octagons and ovals, Su button, thread, provocraft embossing folder, sponge

RECIPE blue bird:

• STAMPS: Stampin Up Spring Song, PTI Mixed messages
  
• CS/PAPER: BG two scoops DP, watercolor, pumpkin, not quite navy, white
• INK: Brilliance black, not quite navy, pumpkin, green, cocoa
• ACCENTS/TOOLS: twill ribbon, sewing machine, waterbrush, nestabilities octagons and ovals

Card gift set using SU stamps

I made this 8 card gift set for a lovely lady at my church who has saved some of her son's things and passed them to me as he grows out of them.  Her son is 6 months older than mine.  This has been a HUGE blessing to us.   Since Wyatt was unplanned, we were not quite prepared in the way of having a savings for the immediate needs like how quickly they outgrow clothing in that first year!

I made the card bases with the floral panels on them, and then made the sentiment labels separate so she could stick those on as she needed them and on whichever card.  I also included some card candy things like pearls, flower and frond leaf punchouts for her to embellish to her hearts content.

The mini card is only 1.5"x2.5" total size.

 

ALL SUPPLIES:

• Stamps: Kind & caring thoughts  (SU) , pocket silhouettes (SU) (some sentiments)
• CS/PAPER: white, baja, not quite navy
• INK: baja, not quite navy, sage
• ACCENTS/TOOLS: embossing folders, nestabilties ovals, SU punches, SU and PTI ribbon, pearls, MS punches, sewing machine on a few, glue dots and pop dots, clear gift box
