My LAST Christmas cards! I actually finished all of my holiday cards over a week ago, but just wanted to spread out the posts into this week.
I made this 4-1/4" square card with Mo's Mr. Scrooge, but then alas, I couldn't bring myself to send it to ANYONE, haha... didn't want to offend anyone just in case they weren't in a humorous mood. So it is a lonely Christmas card sitting here in my safe-keep card box, with all the other cards that haven't found new owners yet.
I colored his coat navy blue.... I have seen too many photos and movies of scrooge in gray and black. Pretty gloomy. However I wanted a "little" color without making him look too cheerfully out of place, while wearing that kind of face.
I think Mr. Scrooge is the kind of guy that takes pride in wearing matching socks.
I printed him on 90 lb. Canson watercolor paper. I used Tombow markers and a waterbrush to watercolor him.
I punched four 4-1/8" long borders in the navy cardstock, an dthen trimmed off the excess of the CS leaving just the punched pattern. Then I snipped at a 45 degree angle, both ends of each length of border. Then I pieced them together like a frame on the card base.
