New Digi's at CDS

Hello! 

Today is the digi release at Clear Dollar Stamps and there are 4 image sets and an SVG cut file.

I am showing you 2 of the image sets and the SVG cut file below.

NEW BUTTERFLY and SPRING BOUQUET SVG files

I inserted the text image into my Word document first and then added the butterfly off to the side. After printing on my watercolor paper, I used the Tombow markers to watercolor, blending using a waterbrush.

I used my cricut and Sure cuts a lot program to cut out the flower and vine shapes. I sponged their edges with coordinating ink colors.

I absolutely LOVE the paper designs and colors in this MME paper.  I don't know if these colors are on a real butterfly... I just made them up to match the papers.

SUPPLIES:

• CS/PAPER: 90 lb. watercolor paper Canson brand, CDS tropical mist, red, My minds eye So sophie DP
• INK: printer, Tombow markers 879, 992, 856, 933, 126, 098, 373, SU inkpads for sponging old olive and cherry cobbler
• ACCENTS/TOOLS: sponge, waterbrush, Spellbinders labels 4, Spring Bouquet SVG files (for flower accents), cricut, Sure cuts a lot program, pearls, sewing machine, offray ribbon from walmart, border punch, foam SU dimensionals

RIVER GLORIOUS

This one took me a while.  I started by masking/sponging the sky/clouds. Then colored the background hills, then all the grass/rocks/flowers on both sides, then the tree and bush, and finally the water.  I waited for each color to completely dry before I moved to the next section/color.

I added the white gel pen lines to the water at the very end after it was completely dry and the entire panel was sealed with acrylic sealer. The white from the pen looks more white if I apply it after sealing the image.

Clearly Inspired Challenge, but I goofed

Haha, well, this months Clearly Inspired Challenge is a sketch, and I goofed... I used the image supplied for that challenge, but I forgot about the sketch!  Good grief.  Oh well, so at least I have something to show you using the LIMITED TIME complimentary image for the challenge, Spring Violets.  It includes black outline and digitally colored images AND digi papers!

Below is what I made with the digitally colored images. First is a 3x3 note card set. Second is a 3.25x6.25 card.  I printed all the digi paper and color images used on these 5 cards on ONE 8.5x11 sheet of cardstock!

• INK: laser printer
• ACCENTS/TOOLS: Spellbinders circles dies, various ribbon spools from Hobby Lobby, CDS budding lilac satin, pearls, sewing machine, foam pop hex dots

Pretty simple cards today, but they are nice and relatively quick to make. Yes, I know, some say that the color digi's take the fun out of hand coloring, which may be true, but once in a while I just want to get a set of cards done faster than it would take me to hand color them all. So they fit the bill this time.
